Minister James Glenn
Minister James Glenn is a native Houstonian. He served in the United States Armed Forces after graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. James is a devoted husband and father who has been married to Carlas Glenn for thirty-seven years. Together they have six children (two sons and four daughters), four grandsons and five granddaughters, which makes for a busy and eventful family life.
James was baptized into the Lord’s church in 1986, under the influence
of Brother Wilton H. Cook of the Studewood Church of Christ, and in January of 1992 James became the minister of the Bellfort congregation. He also had a very successful career as an automobile salesman for twenty-four years, twenty of which he spent at Texan Ford. He was named “Salesman of the Decade”, having been “Salesman of the Month” for nineteen years and three months straight. His goal was to eventually retire from secular work to become the full-time minister of Bellfort. In September of 2002 that goal was achieved, and in October of 2006 he became one of the elders of the congregation. In 2007 he began the radio broadcast, “All About the Word”, on KCOH 1430 AM where he continued to deliver the word of God with relentless passion over the airwaves for seven years.
Over the years he has worked tirelessly to cultivate ministry and leadership. In January of 2022 he celebrated thirty years of service at the Bellfort congregation.
Through all his successes, he humbly credits none other than the Heavenly Father for His grace and mercy. His ultimate goal is to live daily a life that will please the God we serve so that at the end of his life’s journey the Lord will say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
